We could use some personal self-healing

Let’s face it, humans are frail creatures who suffer countless emotional and physical wounds in our lifetime. While these scars may not be our fault, our healing rests with us. Byron Katie once noted that a clear mind “heals everything that needs to be healed.” And the late, great Leonard Cohen said everything has a crack – “that’s how the light gets in.”

Township begins work on 2025 budget

King councillors want to keep next year’s budget affordable. While very early in the 2025 budget process, staff had asked for an increase of between 4 and 5%, but councillors rejected that. Council conveyed a clear message to staff that the projected increase of 4.8 per cent was too much to ask from residents, who are experiencing tax fatigue.

King Theatre Company aims to provide high quality programs

Lecce becomes new Energy minister

King-Vaughan MP Stephen Lecce is the new Minister of Energy and Electrification. His cabinet post has been swapped with Todd Smith, who now becomes Education Minister. Lecce has served as Education Minister since 2019.
