Motive Media’s custom murals offer warmth and awe for long-term care residents

Human connection, resident safety and a comfortable, warm space should be at the root of long-term care. King resident Kathy Cartan has recognized an opportunity to use her expertise to help brighten up and personalize the visual environment in long-term care homes. Cartan owns Motive Media, a large format printing company that has been doing corporate truck wraps and office murals for decades and has realized the impact that beautiful wall murals can have on both residents and staff in these facilities.

New words spoiling the language

There are more than one million distinct words in the English language. Most of use only 25,000 words on a regular basis. And yet, we keep adding to the list and making our trusty dictionaries that much larger. There are a few that make me cringe, every time I hear or read them.

Review of King’s OP is under way

The improved “Our King” Official Plan is being reviewed by Township staff. The review of this guiding document will help ensure King balances its growth with preserving its characteristics. Staff created an introductory discussion paper outlining some key issues.
