King OP review in its final stage

The review of King’s Official Plan is entering the final stages and should be wrapped up by next spring. Councillors received a staff report recently, updating them on the review process and remaining schedule.

Plans for 22 lots in Nobleton revealed

A proposal to add 22 more homes to Nobleton was presented to the public recently at King council. It’s early in the process, but Tribute Nobleton Holdings Corp. is planning 22 detached homes in the southern end, adjacent to Robinson Road.

Township concerned with recent acts of vandalism

Recent, senseless acts of vandalism have upset members of King council and Township staff. Councillor Cleve Mortelliti told his colleagues at council recently that some “bold” graffiti and property damage have him very concerned. He has contacted York Regional Police, and Township staff have spotted likely suspects, but the problem, he said, is not going away. Mayor Steve Pellegini called these acts “horrendous,” noting it’s disrespectful and the cleanup is costly.

King Rebellion celebrates inaugural season in fashion

The puck has officially dropped on the inaugural season of King Township Minor Hockey. Fifteen teams comprised of approximately 250 players donned the red, white, and blue on Saturday to showcase the combined talent of the previous Schomberg and NobleKing rep systems, taking to the ice for the first time at Trisan Centre and Nobleton Arena as the King Rebellion.
