Second phase of Nobleton sewer works progresses

As King Township moves forward with phase two of the Nobleton sanitary sewer works, councillors are pleased the costs to homeowners have been kept down. Ainley and Associates will conduct the design, contract administration and inspection aspects of the two contracts associated with the project. Homeowners will get a breakdown of the proposed capital charge amount of $21,870 per household. The Township will also apply for grant funding through the Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund.

King OP review in its final stage

The review of King’s Official Plan is entering the final stages and should be wrapped up by next spring. Councillors received a staff report recently, updating them on the review process and remaining schedule.

Plans for 22 lots in Nobleton revealed

A proposal to add 22 more homes to Nobleton was presented to the public recently at King council. It’s early in the process, but Tribute Nobleton Holdings Corp. is planning 22 detached homes in the southern end, adjacent to Robinson Road.

Lovisotto has been involved in the Canadian Central American Relief Effort (CCAMRE) for more than 15 years, a group that provides direct, on-the-ground assistance to people living in the Merendon Mountains of La Union, Guatemala.

King hopes to create stormwater management plan

King Township will begin the process of creating a comprehensive stormwater management plan for the municipality. As well, councillors agreed to add a flood study component, and will look into the feasibility of a stormwater utility.
