Plaza owners take application to OLT

Despite negotiations with staff, the proponents of a storage facility in Nobleton are taking their bid to the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT). Domroc Developments, last November, applied for Official Plan and bylaw amendments to permit their plan on Highway 27 north of Hill Farm Road and south of Nobleton Public School. The plan is to build a four-storey self-storage facility on the east side of the existing plaza, behind Cousins.

King-Vaughan MPP Stephen Lecce is now Minister of the expanded Energy and Mines, an expanded portfolio of Energy and Electrification. In addition to his energy portfolio, he is now responsible for overseeing all mining projects across the province – many of which focus on getting shovels in the ground to extract critical minerals like nickel, potash, aluminum, and lithium.

After examining one’s purpose in my last column, here is a new introspective question to ponder. My daughter asked: “Do you want to feel more joy and what are some things you can do to feel this way?” Joy. Hmmm.

Investments made to keep local water safe

York Region’s water is safe to drink. Local water is distributed by King Township and must meet high regulatory quality standards as legislated by the Province of Ontario. A recent report to King council revealed local water quality meets or exceeds all standards.
