This weekend, Spray Lake Watersports will be hosting the Eastern Canadian Waterski Championships. Skiers of all ages will come to compete in one of the largest events of the summer waterski circuit. The event will consist of all three waterski events: trick, jump and slalom, with competitors fighting for their qualification to the Canada-wide championships, to be hosted in Winnipeg this August. Competitive waterskiing has been making a comeback in eastern Canada over the last few years, which Spray Lake has had a hand in. The facility also works with non-competitive skiers who enjoy waterskiing for the social and athletic benefits. This weekend is a great opportunity for people in the King community to come out and catch the excitement. Spectators are welcome. Parking and admission are free. For more, visit spraylake.ca
