Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit are releasing images and seeking public assistance in identifying two suspects following two bank robberies in the City of Vaughan and King Township.
On Thursday, Jan. 14, shortly before 3 p.m., police were called to the area of Weston Road and Rutherford Road for a bank robbery. Two men entered the bank and passed the teller a note which contained a demand for cash. The note also indicated that the suspects were armed, but no weapons were seen. The teller complied with the demand and the suspects fled the bank on foot north of Weston Road.
On Saturday, Jan. 16, at 3:15 p.m., a similar bank robbery occurred in the area of King Road and Keele Street. A man entered the bank and passed the teller a note which contained a demand for cash. The note also indicated that the suspect was armed, but no weapons were seen. The teller complied with the demand and the suspect fled on foot.
Investigators are releasing images of the suspects and seeking public assistance to identify them.
The suspects are described as:
Male, white, 18 to 25 years old, wearing dark-coloured jackets and pants.
