Thanks to all who participated in the seventh annual Schomberg Street Gallery on Main Street. Although the weather was colder and breezier than we’d like, the street was filled with artists and art lovers for the entire day.
With so much co-operation from the community, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who helped make this year’s art show the biggest and best yet.
Thanks go to the Schomberg Village Association and the Arts Society King for their sponsorship and support.
To King Township for cleaning Main Street just before the gallery and allowing us to close the street to vehicular traffic for the day of the gallery.
To the businesses, residents and visitors to Main Street for not parking on the street on Saturday night – allowing us and the artists to get set up on Sunday morning (and also for dealing with the road closure on Sunday so graciously). Thanks to Trends Realty, who sponsored the brochure this year. A special thanks to RONA, whose parking lot (as it turned out) was used by many of the attendees.
To the many volunteers, who dedicated time and energy, both on the day of the gallery, and for months beforehand planning and organizing the event.
We thank the members of the Schomberg Presbyterian Church who had to use the Agricultural Fairgrounds for their parking as they attended Church on Sunday morning, and last but not least, to the artists and attendees. Without them, we wouldn’t have a show!
