Strange incident at Victoria Day fair

June 10, 2014   ·   0 Comments

The Nobleton Victoria Day Fair had an incident that just boggles the mind.
The stage tents have been set up and taken down every year for 10 years without incident. Last year, someone decided to take a knife and shred the entire back 40-foot panel. We’re still looking for that for that thoughtless, destructive individual. Who does that?
This year we had an “are you kidding?” moment.
A couple of locals of Nobleton thought it would be a great idea to take advantage of an opportunity to make some extra money off the back of the event.
They decided to charge $5 for parking, using someone else’s property!
They used the parking lot of a business on King Road close to the park. The owner of the property, when he learned what had happened, was not happy. He has been kind enough to offer his parking lot for years, never even thinking of charging a dime. It’s a community event.
We do know who these individuals are and thought it would be nice if they gave half of what they took in to the Nobleton Victoria Day Fair, or all of it to the owner of the property.
Who does things like this?
