Coyotes attack family dog

A King City family is horrified by the mauling of their dog by a pair of coyotes Monday night.
Chris Sweet said the incident occurred at roughly 7:30 p.m. just before sunset. Joey, a 13-year-old Bishon Frise, was in the fenced backyard on Norman Drive when two coyotes jumped the fence and mauled the dog.
The dog is in very bad condition and the vet who’s caring for him said he didn’t know how Joey got away.
Sweet said she’s warning residents to keep an eye out for their family pets and even children, as the coyotes appear more brazen.
