Extreme measures to fight the COVID-19 virus has led to the shut down of all non-essential businesses in Ontario. The Province ordered the mandatory closure for Tuesday at 11:59 p.m., and it will remain in effect for 14 days. The announcement from the government indicates there’s a possibility of extending this order as the situation evolves.
The Country Day School can add a few more medals to their collection. The snowboarding program won the Conference of Independent Schools Athletic Association (CISAA) gold for the second year in a row. It was the fifth consecutive medal for the boys’ team and second consecutive for the girls.

The King City Lions defeat St. Brother Andre Cardinals 4-2, bringing home the division one YRAA hockey championship for the third consecutive year. The irony is, it was the year of the firsts. The Lions won the title for the first time on home ice in Nobleton Arena and went the entire season undefeated in all competitive matches; never accomplished before by any other hockey team in school history.
