The world is our oyster, it’s been said. And two Nobleton brothers are opening all they can get their hands on.
The band We Outspoken, led by Nobleton brothers Anthony and Alex Mascarin, are in Europe for a 12-show, seven-country tour, visiting Belgium, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Czech Republic and Switzerland. New stops this year include Munich, Germany and Olen, Belgium. The entire tour schedule can be found at www.weoutspoken.com.
It’s their third tour by invitation and the group expects another warm reception by European fans – the legions continue to grow and embrace this Canadian export.
They’ll be showcasing their newest release, “Musicomania.”
Anthony explained this album sounds “more organic, especially the way that this album was recorded, we tracked the drums up north at a cottage with big cathedral ceilings, it was amazing.  The sound is leaning towards more of a rock/punk genre, which is a little softer than our older material. The choruses are still loud and in your face.”
He added their message remains steady, and is evident through songs like “Get up and fight,” and “It’s not alright,” which talk about being yourself, living the life that you choose, being outspoken etc.
Writing came very “organically” with the rest of the songs, which they had a lot of fun with.
The album is going to be mastered by legend Leon Zervos, who has worked with everyone from Maroon 5 to Fall Out Boy. “We are excited to hear the final product.”
The new material will help propel the band this year.
“It will be a nice change for us,” Anthony said. “We have been playing the same songs for almost two years. Now we get a chance to showcase some new music and test the new material before the album comes out. We will also be giving out a free two-song sampler as part of our European marketing efforts.”
Their fan base is growing exponentially.
Anthony said they’ve seen their fans bloom nicely, one person at a time.
“We used to get a few e-mails a day from people from all over the world and now we can’t keep up with all of the messages and interactions. We always respond to everyone, whether its a YouTube comment, Facebook message, or an e-mail. We find that touring really helps connect with those people that have been waiting to see you, or mentioned that they want you to come to their town. When we toured in Brazil we really saw what we were capable of.”
The musicians in We Outspoken are always evolving – they have to,
“We are always growing as writers and musicians; our tastes and style have I think, gotten better and better over the years. You take what you learn from the road, writing partners, and you apply it to your craft.”
A love of their craft is what keeps them fresh and inspired.
“The truth is we love what we do. It is so ingrained in our being that we don’t know anything else. It is always fresh and exciting.”
Mascarin said new releases help and touring “re-ignites the flame.
“It’s the sense of adventure and not knowing really what is going to happen next that keeps us excited. Fans help too, especially from their kind e-mails. It let’s us know that someone is always listening.”
And they’re far from stagnant.
Upon their return from Europe, We Outspoken will be shooting a music video for the new album’s first track, “It’s not alright.” The track  is actually available for free download at www.soundcloud.com/weoutspoken. After that, they will follow through with the album’s release, sometime in the fall, and a few more music videos and tours.
