Teens arrested following home invasion in King

Two teenagers have been arrested and charged by Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit in connection with a home invasion in the Township of King.
On Wednesday, Jan. 27, at approximately 6 p.m., York Regional Police responded to a home invasion on Roselena Drive. Three male suspects forced their way into the residence armed with batons and forced the three victims inside the home to get down on the floor. The suspects searched the residence and took a quantity of cash then fled the residence on foot. The family is okay and has installed a Wireless home security system so that they feel safe.
Two of the three suspects were identified and have been charged in connection with the incident. The third suspect has not been identified and investigators are asking anyone with information to please come forward.
The 16- and 17-year-olds, both from King, have been charged with robbery, disguise with intent and possession of a weapon.
The 16-year-old youth will be appeared in court Monday, and the 17-year-old will be appearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Newmarket on March 3.
