King City’s Jordan Lam is quickly establishing himself within the provincial skating community, earning his second first-place finish in competition in just over a month.
After earning gold in Senior Silver Men’s Freeskate last month in the Provincial StarSkate Championships, Lam solidified himself as one of the province’s top skaters by winning top spot at the All-Ontario Championships March 14-15.
He skates with the King City Skating Club, home of King’s StarSkate program, which offers skaters the opportunity to develop fundamental figure skating skills in the areas of ice dancing, freeskate, and interpretive skating.
Now in his eighth year with the club, Lam also partners with Andreea Muscalu for ice dancing, in which the two earned bronze in the Junior Silver category at All-Ontarios.
Five other members of the King City Skating Club also made the trip, bringing home a number of medals.
Jade Danko-Dunstall and Partner Danyal Tahir were the bronze medalists for all of Ontario in the Senior Bronze Pattern Dance, while Sarah Ryan and Shaan Tahir skated away with silver in Junior.
Competing in the grueling triathlon competition, Julia Ferreira finished ninth overall.
