Local skaters excel at event

Charlie Webster and Bailee Tanaka were among several local skaters who performed well at recent championships.

 

Skaters from the King City Skating Club performed well at the Central Ontario STARSkate Championships in Brampton.
Some of the events the skaters participated in, were qualifying events for the Skate Ontario Championships in Sudbury, on March 18, 19, and 20.
The club is very proud that a lot of our skaters qualified and will be going on to the Skate Ontario Championships and representing King City.

Jordan Lam 2nd, Gold Men’s Freeskate; Cristina Lyons 3rd, Senior Bronze Women’s Freeskate and 4th, Silver Triathlon; Juliana Schiavone 4th, Senior Bronze Women’s Freeskate; Shaan Tahir 4th, Senior Bronze Men’s Freeskate; Sarah Ryan & Shaan Tahir 1st, Senior Silver Dance; Julia Ferreira & Danyal Tahir 2nd, Gold Dance; Andreea Muscalu & Jordan Lam 2nd, Senior Silver Dance; Bailee Tanaka & Charlie Webster 1st, Junior Bronze Dance; Elisha Suebin Ryu 4th, STAR 4 Girls U10 Group 2 Freeskate; Sarah Bi 1st, STAR4 Girls U13 Group 1 Freeskate; Niki Baio 1st, STAR4 Girls U13 Group 2 Freeskate; Sophia Mazzulla 2nd, STAR4 Girls U13 Group 4; Eva Pellegrino 3rd, STAR4 Girls U13 Group 4 Freeskate; Julia Ferreira 4th, Gold Triathlon and Cristina Lyons 4th, Silver Triathlon.
