A heartfelt thanks for the community’s support of the second Sip & Savour event in support of King Township Food Bank.
Hats off to MC Art Hindle, musical guest Catherine Hughes and auctioneer David Beasley, who greatly improved the bottom line in the most entertaining way. Thank you to Mayor Pellegrini and all of the councilors who attended.
Thanks to the Nobleton and King City firefighters who provided greeters in dress uniform to formally usher the guests into the venue.
Thank you to the volunteers, who helped collect auction items, and set up and took down the room.
And last but certainly not least, thank you to all those who purchased tickets and attended – after all, there’s no party without guests!
This was an event that could never have taken place without each and every one of you.
To our sponsors, your generosity ensured that all of the food and drink – and it was lavish – was entirely paid for, allowing 100% of the proceeds from every ticket and every auction item to go straight to the families the Food Bank serves.
To Nobleton Lakes Golf Club, thank you for donating the venue and putting your heart and soul into the food preparation.
To Party Magic and Dorio’s Bakery, thank you for transforming the venue with Hollywood drama. A sincere thanks to our auction item donors.
To all of the guests who attended, thank you for coming, thank you for having a great time, and thank you for bidding so generously on our auction items.
You have helped raise $35,000 for King Township Food Bank, well over last year’s results of $20,000. Take a bow!
Finally, to Richard and Sandra Gladden, our heartfelt thanks for your incredibly generous donation of $10,000, which was presented during the evening. This is the largest donation in the history of the King Township Food Bank, and combined with the proceeds from Sip & Savour, means that the Food Bank has received a much needed $45,000!
