Chiovitti at world synchronized skating championships

A King resident is joining hundreds of figure skaters from around the world, in heated competition.
On April 10 and 11, hundreds of talented figure skaters from 18 countries will be competing at FirstOntario Centre in Hamilton at the ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships 2015. Synchronized skating is the fasted-growing discipline in skating and it’s simply beautiful to watch.
As the reigning Canadian Champions, Burlington-based NEXXICE will be competing as Canada 1 at the competition and one of the skaters from that team is a resident of King City.
Alessia Chiovitti was born in Toronto and began skating at 2 ½ years old. At her home club of King City Skating Club and Aurora Skating Club, she passed her Triple Gold (Skills, Dance and Interpretive). She is currently enjoying her 12th year as a synchronized skater and first year on NEXXICE Senior. Alessia loves being part of the team and having twenty best friends.
Alessia is currently attending Grade 12 at King City Secondary School. We wish Alessia, her teammates, and Canada’s other entry into the competition, Les Suprêmes, from Quebec, great success and congratulate them for their hard work.
Tickets for the ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships 2015 are available through Ticketmaster.ca.
