The atom A Knights attended the Toronto Aeros winter Challenge Tournament in Toronto last weekend, holding strong as a team to become victorious.
Game one was played against Humber Valley Sharks and ended in a tie, with Julien DiTullio scoring both the NobleKing goals.
In the second game, the NobleKing team handily beat the Toronto Eagles by a score of 4-1. Goals were scored by DiTullio, Sebastian Lisi, Mike Critelli and Brogan Grammenz. Great forward support was added by Felicia Provensano and Ben Wright.
The third game ended in a 0-0 tie against the Vaughan Panthers, resulting in a successful shutout for goalie Will Swanson who played with tenacity and determination in every game.
The Knights’ powerful defence held the line with David Paglia, Keiran Purvis, Noah Willis and Eva Harrison.
Off to the semi-finals, the Knights found their scoring opportunities against the Richmond Hill Stars.  The game ended in a 6-3 win for the Knights, with two goals each for DiTullio, Lisi and Peter Mueller.
In the finals, the NobleKing atom team kept their eye on the prize and pulled off a 4-0 win over the Humber Valley Sharks to clinch the cup.  Amazing goals by Lisi, Lucas Manfrini, Matthew Siarkas and Grammenz.  NobleKing’s Swanson faced 16 shots in the final game to shut out the Sharks.
Great hard work and persistence resulted in bringing home the championship.
