Congratulations to the NobleKing Novice A hockey team as they ended their season as the Dunsmuir Memorial Tournament champions.
The novice boys were undefeated going into the semi-finals and easily advanced to the finals with an impressive 8-1 victory over their opponent.  Stellar goaltending was given by Justin Plasa with help from his defence players with a total of only five goals against.
His defence support consisted of Campbell Carlisle, Nathan Evangelista, Cohen D’Ulisse and Adam Baldesarra.
The forward lines had a great tournament as well with a total of 33 goals for.  The forwards consisted of Daniel Cotroneo, Juliano Deangelis, Sean Adams, Vincent DiCosola, Roger Torriero, Jack Caravaggio, Nicolas Tomada and Spencer Bryant.
The championship game was played on Sunday afternoon and pitted the NobleKing Knights against their playoff rivals, the East Gwillimbury Eagles.
NobleKing came out strong with a two-goal lead going into the third period. East Gwillimbury battled back and tied the game early in the third period.  It became clear as both teams battled tirelessly, that this game was going into overtime.
The five-minute overtime, sudden victory period was played three on three and both teams came out to win. An overly aggressive play cost the Eagles a player as a penalty was called and gave the Knights the man advantage. Playing to win, the NobleKing Knights came out stronger than ever and on an odd man rush, Juliano Deangelis took a shot and scored the game-winning goal. The NobleKing Knights end their season as the undefeated champions of the Dunsmuir Memorial Tournament.
All of the players would like to thank their families for their support and especially their wonderful coaches Dave Carlisle, Mike Baldesarra, Dennis Evangelista, Claudio D’Ulisse and managers Tony Cotroneo and Kim Baldaserra for all of their hard work and dedication this past season.
