Binsfield wins gold in Para Alpine GS

King City home boy, James Binsfeld, won gold again in the Para Alpine GS at Ontario Winter Games, Feb. 28 at Mt. St. Louis.
The male division included standing and sitting men. James, a hemiplegic from strokes, edged out Will Goessart, a three tracking leg amp, by .35 seconds. In third place was Andy VanGrunsven, a quadraplegic who is an amazing sit skier.
Teammates Mac and BJ Marcoux were unavailable as they are headed for Sochi for the Paralympics.
All of them will compete together at Nationals at the end of March at Whistler.
Binsfield and Goessart are expected to represent Ontario at Canada Games next season.
