York police seek witnesses following serious collision

Officers with the York Regional Police Collision Investigation Unit are seeking witnesses following a serious collision in King,
On Friday, June 7, at approximately 3:30 p.m., police were called to King Road east of Dufferin Street for a serious collision involving three vehicles. Officers with the Collision Investigation Unit attended the scene and determined that a 2010 red Dodge Journey, driven by a 28-year-old female, was traveling westbound on King Road when for reasons still under investigation, crossed the centre line and entered the eastbound lane, colliding with a 2008 red GMC Canyon, driven by a 44-year-old male.
A 2007 white Ford F-150 also driving eastbound was unable to stop in time and collided with the rear end of the Canyon, pushing it into the north ditch on King Road.
The female driver of the Dodge Journey was initially transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries and was later upgraded to stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.
The male driver of the Canyon was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injures. The male driver of the Ford F-150 did not suffer any injuries, but was transported to hospital for observation.
