King updates its Recreation Master Plan

King council has given its stamp of approval to an update of its Park, Recreation and Community Master Plan. The plan was last updated in 2013 to provide short and long-term perspectives and provision of municipal services. It’s a document that’s used extensively by staff as a valuable tool to help shape council decisions.

Golf tournament proceeds help Vitanova’s programs

A fundraising golf tournament has resulted in a scholarship to help others. The tournament, in support of Vaughan’s Vitanova Foundation, raised more than $60,000. Of that, $8,400 will be put in the scholarship fund that will be in Andrew Robinson’s name.

Terriers defend home turf, send Cougars home with a loss

The Orillia Terriers took down the Schomberg Cougars 8-5 in the Cougars’ only match-up last week. Travelling north and into hostile territory, the Cougars knew this was going to be a tough match-up. The Terriers sit in second place in the North Carruthers Division whilst the Cougars sit one spot behind.
