By Mark Pavilons
The 4th annual Cruise for the Cure attracted thousands of car and music buffs to King Sunday for one of the largest fundraisers around.
Tim and Brenda's Cruise for the Cure attracted more than 6,000 visitors and 700 cars from far and wide –classics, muscle cars and modern imports. The inclement weather may have kept some vehicles away, but it sure didn't dampen the spirits of those who attended and supported the great causes. The Alzheimer's Society of Ontario and Prostate Cancer Canada both received cheques for $50,000 each.
The event was boosted by Tim and Brenda Schmidt and Helga Schmidt of ABC Group of Companies.
Special guests included Danny Koker and Kevin Mack from the TV show “Counting Cars” who were on hand to greet visitors.</content-encoded>
