Schomberg Street Gallery brings splash of colour to Main Street

Schomberg's historic Main Street will be awash in colour this Sunday, for the 7th annual Schomberg Street Gallery.
The event takes place on Sunday, Sept. 13 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is an outdoor sale of fine art and unique crafts, set against a backdrop of heritage buildings and century homes in the downtown core of Schomberg.
A section of Main Street will be closed to traffic for this much-anticipated event. Tents will line the street, allowing visitors to meet the artists and mingle with other show-goers. The Community Hall and Periwinkle Gallery will be open as well.
Come for the Schomberg Street Gallery but be prepared to stay all day. Find a spot at one of the street-side cafés serving homemade goodies, or order something hearty from the Lions Club BBQ.  Sue Iaboni, president of Arts Society King said: “I love going to this great show, full of energy and gorgeous art pieces. No need to make the arduous trek into the city when we have this beautiful outdoor exhibition right here in King.”
This free event is for art lovers of all ages, and there will be a wealth of talent to choose from. The range of media includes oil, acrylic, watercolour, photography, wood, glass, metal, pottery, textiles and jewellery. Something is bound to catch your eye that will look great in your home.
Make a date with your friends.  Be a part of this vibrant scene.
