Toronto family looking for King residentsThese are some of the items a Toronto couple was mistakenly sent by a moving company. They apparently belong to a King resident. By Mark Pavilons A moving mixup and misfortune for a Toronto couple has resulted in a unique discovery with a King connection. Toronto's Taoko Kubokawa and her husband moved to Toronto from Vancouver in October 2012. The BC-based moving company they used lost their boxes, broke furniture and overcharged them. Kubokawa said they battled through the Better Business Bureau, where this company has a poor outstanding record. Their boxes were in storage until they found a house last fall. They finally went through their items and found several boxes and Rubbermaid totes that belonged for King residents. The boxes has identifying stickers for Kristen Simmonds (Clarksburg, Ont.) and Debra Simmonds, of 1640 16th Sideroad. Kubokawa said she tried everything to find the owners, and even took a laptop to the local police station. They tried the Toronto Star and searched Facebook and Google, all to no avail. They are keeping the stuff safe in the hopes the owners will be found. If you know anything about the Simmonds, you can contact Kubokawa at taekubo1207@hotmail.com. |
