ASK presents a winter culinary arts experience

Janet Mior, Denny Starritt, Councillor Linda Pabst, King Township Mayor Steve Pellegrini, Locale owners Frank Facciponte and Lilly Vona, Councillors Debbie Schaefer, Avia Eek, Locale manager Anthony Lamacchia and featured artist Ann Clifford celebrate the launch of Winter Bites.

Arts Society King (ASK) proudly presents its newest program, Winter Bites, in collaborations with artists, performers and local eateries.
This first annual program features six restaurants located in King and the surrounding area –  Arbour Pub & Grill, Hogan's Inn, Locale, Port Soiree, The Schomberg Pub and the 1812 Grillhouse.  A set menu is available for lunch or dinner at a set price starting Feb. 24 and running until March 9.
Enjoy visual art provided by ASK artists at most locations, and on scheduled days/times performing artists help to chase “the Blues” away! Hogan's Inn in King City is hosting a special art exhibit that includes all the ASK artists participating in the program. The art component runs from Feb. 10 to March 16.
ASK is grateful for the support of the Township of King, specifically with respect to the new Township Street Banner Program, and to The Ontario Trillium Foundation for grant support.
Also new this year at ASK is a music program for Youth, featuring guitar level 1 and 2.
ASK annual highlights are the Studio Tour of King Artists (April 2014), the ASK Festival (July 2014) featuring workshops, tours/events, and the Schomberg Street Gallery (September 2014), and on-going art exhibits at the King Museum, and other locations in the Township.
ASK is in the second year of a three-year grant from The Ontario Trillium Foundation, to continue to strengthen its infrastructure, and enhance and expand its unique local programming. A leading grant maker in Canada, the Ontario Trillium Foundation strengthens the capacity of the voluntary sector through investments in community-based initiatives.
