Italian watchmaker Out of Order brings out the colours; just add ice!

For the love of time

Fashion, according to Miconia Praha, is “instant language.”
And Twiggy once said that fashion should be stylish and fun.
Well there's no lack of fun in a new lineup of timepieces by Italian watchmaker Out of Order.
The company, which espouses the sentiment “Damaged in Italy,” is offering something distressed and fresh.
Distressed clothing, especially denim, is experiencing a strong surge in fashion and this purposeful imperfection is what Out of Order is all about.
It's a bit of a contradiction, since the watches are, in fact, in perfect working order and yet they appear well worn. They're beautiful because of their flaws.
The company's patented manufacturing and finishing process gives each design the look of a well-worn (and well-loved) vintage timepiece. You will never find two identical pieces of Out of Order Watches. Each is, thanks to the craftsmanship, a unique piece.
The new lineup is sure to “shake” things up.
To celebrate its 10th anniversary, Out of Order unleashed the six-model Shaker Collection. It's time to celebrate and the watches appeal to everyone's unique “mixture” and favourite aperitif. Is it time for a cocktail? Just look down at your wrist. The answer is always yes!
The Shaker Automatic GMT is a sporty piece in a class all of its own.
Under the domed sapphire crystal is where the magic begins. The Superluminal® hour markers are bright and easy to read, even in total darkness.
Out of Order's cocktail-inspired designs are amazing, but you may have trouble picking just one – they're all so delicious!
I chose the After 8, with a hint of mint. The face has two distinct halves, with the upper portion filled with tiny “bubbles,” giving it a unique effervescence. I have never seen this in a watch face, especially one of this caliber.
Inspired by the famous chocolate, After Eight has a touch of brown around the rotating bezel. A layer of mint is sandwiched in the rich, vegetable-tanned cowhide strap. The complementary buckle makes this a really cool combination.
Part of the marketing genius with this series is the addition an actual cocktail shaker, a stainless steel duo with all the colours of the rainbow. It makes you want to enjoy a signature cocktail. What a great idea!
The designers aimed for that washed denim, well loved leather feel we enjoy with our clothes. The watches are more street chic than “damaged” in my opinion.
It's not flashy, but it isn't shy, either. It “wants” you to look at it.
The watch is at home on the beach as much as it is peeping out of your dress shirt cuff.
Out of Order was born in 2013 inside a small workshop not far from Venice, Italy. The team's main trio – Riccardo Torrisi, Claudio Dalla Mora and Dario Ceolotto – put their hearts and souls into every watch.
The watches have proven quite popular overseas, so I encourage you to join this “elite club” by grabbing one (or two) today.
With summer approaching, get one now and be the first to shake things up.
