Charity Car Wash

The King City Firefighters will be holding a charity car wash at the King City fire station (2045 King Road) on Saturday, May 26th. The car wash will take place from 10 a.m until 2 p.m. The fundraiser is in support of the Canadian Cancer Society, The Heart and Stroke Foundation, The King Township Food bank and the King City Firefighters Benevolent Fund. There are a new group of recruit firefighters at our King City station who are very eager to meet the public they serve and have you meet them.

The King Chamber of Commerce is hosting an all candidates meeting to meet your King-Vaughan candidates in the upcoming provincial election. The event will be held Wednesday, May 30 at 7 p.m. Nobleton Lakes Golf Club, 125 Nobleton Lakes Dr. Come out to meet your candidates; discuss their platforms, submit questions and make your choice on election day.

Marylake hosts a night of prayer and music

King's Marylake Augustinian Monastery hopes to bring parishes together later this summer with a unique event.

The Monastery, located just off of Keele Street, is hosting a special event July 7, inviting all to

“Light the Path for Jesus.”

All proceeds will go to Queen of the Holy Rosary Shrine Charity to assist with installation of lighting on the Rosary Path at Marylake.

Join them for a night of prayer, music, hors d'oeuvres and beverages. The night will start with a prayer procession on the Rosary Path, a viewing of the Stations of the Cross and will end with socialization and music under the stars. Please dress comfortably.

Tickets are $25 per person and children under 10 are free. Visitors are asked to arrive at 6:30 p.m., with the procession starting at 7 p.m. Meet at the “Great Crucifix,” at the beginning of the Rosary Path.
