King Fire holds boot drive, food collection
King Fire and Emergency Services personnel are preparing for our boot drive and food collection to be held this Saturday, Dec. 9 at Coppa's in King City, Foodland in Schomberg and No Frills in Nobleton. Firefighters from all three King stations will be on hand.
Shoppers are urged to support the firefighters and the grocery stores in helping the King Township Food Bank at this special time of year.
The Foodbank will be providing a list of food items currently needed at the Food Bank.
Anyone not shopping on Dec. 9 who wishes to donate to the foodbank may do so by bringing cheques to the King City fire station during business hours or by mailing cheques to P. O. Box 224,Schomberg, ON L0G 1T0.
Please make cheques out to the King Township Food Bank. Cheques received before Dec. 15 which note support of the firefighters' initiative will be included in the Food bank report on this fundraising event. The generosity of King Township residents is appreciated more than words can describe.
