Tee off in aid of SickKids
Golfers are set to tee off for charity later this month.
The stage is set for the annual Andrew Mizzoni Charity Golf Classic. It will be held Tuesday, June 26 at Nobleton Lakes Golf Club. It is in support of the Andrew Mizzoni Cancer Research Fund at SickKids.
Registration starts at 11 and on hand will be local dignitaries and politicians. A few physicians from SickKids are slated to attend. Tee off is 12:30 p.m.
This is the 12th tournament and to date, they have raised $500,000 for the cause. At registration we will have Carlton the Bear, live entertainment and of course the Tim Hortons coffee truck.
This year's event will be better than ever!
Cost is $225 per golfer all inclusive, $75 for dinner only. Hole sponsorships are available. For more, email email@example.com
Marylake hosts a night of prayer and music
King's Marylake Augustinian Monastery hopes to bring parishes together later this summer with a unique event.
The Monastery, located just off of Keele Street, is hosting a special event July 7, inviting all to
“Light the Path for Jesus.”
All proceeds will go to Queen of the Holy Rosary Shrine Charity to assist with installation of lighting on the Rosary Path at Marylake.
Join them for a night of prayer, music, hors d'oeuvres and beverages. The night will start with a prayer procession on the Rosary Path, a viewing of the Stations of the Cross and will end with socialization and music under the stars. Please dress comfortably.
Tickets are $25 per person and children under 10 are free. Visitors are asked to arrive at 6:30 p.m., with the procession starting at 7 p.m. Meet at the “Great Crucifix,” at the beginning of the Rosary Path.
