A King Township man died in hospital, following a collision in Georgina that involved four seniors from the municipality.
Investigators with the York Regional Police Major Collision Investigation Unit are seeking witnesses following this now fatal collision after the 80-year-old King man died in hospital April 27.
On Sunday, April 24, at 5:30 p.m., police responded to a serious collision in the intersection of Varney Road and Metro Road North in the Town of Georgina. A Honda Civic travelling south collided in the intersection with a westbound Chevrolet Equinox.
A passenger in the Honda Civic, the 80-year-old man from King Township, suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital where he subsequently succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation is ongoing and any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police are being asked to please come forward.
