King Township launches ShopKING resident survey

January 20, 2016   ·   0 Comments

What shops and services do you want to see more of in King Township? The Township wants to know.
Part of giving King residents a great quality of life is ensuring that your shopping and service needs are available close to home. As a result, King Township has launched the King Township Resident Survey.
And, when you tell them what you think, you may enter to win from a pool of over $1,000 in prizes.  There will be a weekly prize draw in January and February for three $25 Tim Hortons gift cards – one each for residents in or close to King City, Nobleton and Schomberg.  The grand prize draw is for a $500 grocery gift card at the King Township grocery store of the winner’s choice, and will take place on March 11.
“I strongly encourage everyone to participate in this survey,” said Mayor Steve Pellegrini, “This is a great opportunity for our residents to get their voices heard and help shape King’s sustainable future.  Life is great in King, and the results of this survey will help make it even better!”
You can find the survey on line at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ShopKINGResidentSurvey or fill out a paper survey at any King Township library branch.
The survey will identify which of your shopping and service needs are well met within King, and which require you to shop or seek services outside of King Township.  It should take less than 10 minutes to complete.
Resident feedback will help determine which shops and services will be encouraged to locate in King Township.
This survey is a direct outcome of the Village Revitalization Forum conducted in November 2015.  The King Township Office of Economic Development met with key business stakeholders from King City, Nobleton and Schomberg, who were consulted about their villages.  One of the items discussed during the Forum was the opportunity to better understand the needs of King Township residents for goods and services.
Don’t miss this opportunity to get your voice heard!
