King Township is known for many wonderful things.

And this hasn’t escaped the attention of home buyers, who are looking into real estate agents Lynchburg to find the right one to help find their own little piece of paradise. Interest in King and the demand for high-end estate properties, are at an all time high.

Those who are in the business of “selling King” really have to know their stuff.
Tara McCarthy, a realtor with deep-rooted Laceby Real Estate, knows her area like her own backyard.

Founded in King City in 2002, Laceby Real Estate is a boutique firm with 40 years of experience and an emphasis on personalized service and relationships. Laceby is a full-service realtor that you could possibly find on somewhere similar to Rate My Agent or elsewhere online with top-notch reviews. She has clients in a range of residential markets and operations in the commercial, development and property management sectors.

“Tara is a leader in the luxury market because she knows what it takes to be a great agent,” said Jeff Laceby, president and co-founder of Laceby Real Estate. “She works long hours, covers every angle, and is constantly learning so she can be the best. Her clients love her and we are thrilled she joined us.”

Not only does McCarthy have a personal knowledge and commitment to the community, she goes above and beyond to help those buying or selling their King properties.

The Kingscross resident often “takes it to the next level,” helping residents with moving arrangements, staging, renovations, etc. She’s even cooked a few meals for clients in between moves.

McCarthy really does offer that proverbial “one-stop shopping.” She can do home assessments, advise on renovations and even hire contractors, to increase a home’s value and curb appeal. She knows all of the best tips, from enlisting the pressure washing services of a local company to clean up the exterior of the property, to lighting candles/incense to make the interior smell good and feel inviting. She knows the impact that something like beautiful James Hardie siding can have on a property.

She can also help buyers with renovations, tear-downs or new builds, through her family company Hard at Work Inc., a niche builder run by her father Peter and Vince Oppedisano. Hard at Work currently has a dozen new builds on the go in Kingscross, creating beautiful homes for those with refined tastes and budgets to match.

Kingscross estate lots are among the most sought-after parcels in the GTA. It’s the oldest estate subdivision in the country and many new home buyers are tearing down the old homes and opting for custom-built mansions.

Understanding local planning rules and bylaws come in handy when considering new builds or additions. McCarthy has that knowledge in spades and can help new buyers with everything from building permits, planning services and dealing with local conservation authorities.

Much of King is situated within the highly regulated Oak Ridges Moraine and there are many guidelines when it comes to additions or complete builds. “To have a good understanding of the requirements as an agent is extremely important to helping my clients achieve their goals,” she said.

“I know every property in Kingscross,” McCarthy said. “And all the intricacies regarding zoning, permits, etc.”

McCarthy prides her self on her passion and knowledge. She’s definitely a go-getter.

She also loves learning and she’s excited about discovering anything new.

Newcomers to King are in for a treat, and many surprises. Many buyers, she said, are surprised to realize just how close and accessible King is to the GTA. City dwellers have to be educated on King’s rural nature and just what’s in store for them on lots served by wells and septic systems.

McCarthy just loves her own neighbourhood and the history of Kingscross. “There are a lot of interesting people there,” she pointed out.
King’s appeal is evident in the pace of sales.

McCarthy noted that one buyer was anxious to purchase a home on his birthday, and they visited the lot at night, walking the property by flashlight. Without even going inside the home, he bought it.

Every time a home sells in the neighbourhood, McCarthy helps up the ante. Simply by promoting her community, she is constantly raising the benchmark.

Part of King’s charm is just how interwoven members of the community are.

McCarthy is a wife, mother and also helps coach her son’s hockey team.

Many residents are really living the dream. And many others are chomping at the bit to do the same.

If you’re planning to make King your new home, meet with a local realtor.
