The King Township Food Bank is rolling out the red carpet this fall for its second annual Sip & Savour fundraising event.
Given the tremendous success of the inaugural event in 2014, this year’s soiree promises to be even better. Get ready to meet some celebrities at the party of the year, with the theme “Hooray for Hollywood.”
Reserve Thursday, Oct. 15, from 6-9 p.m. on your social calendar. Some people who enjoyed last year’s event have already reserved their tickets.
Complete with red carpet, Canadian stars of film and TV, entertainment, great food and ample helpings of glitz and glamour, this fall’s event is a must-attend affair.
Canadian TV and movie actor Art Hindle, (ACTRA vp of external affairs) will be on hand.
King’s “Diva in the Rough” Catherine Hughes jumped at the chance to perform. Hughes, who recently released her fist CD, will treat visitors to her beautiful voice, singing some movie classics.
To make the evening special, the King Weekly Sentinel is asking residents to help pitch in with donations of any Hollywood memorabilia they have. You can either donate or lend your items to us for display during the evening. For more, contact Food Bank president Carol Ann Trabert, Carol Ann Trabert , catrabert@gmail.com or Mark Pavilons, editor@kingsentinel.com.
The Food Bank is also looking for donations of items for its silent auction table and its live auction.
This event is the Food Bank’s largest individual fundraiser; please help make it a success.
Residents are encouraged to dress up for the cocktail party of the year. Get out your tux, or ball gown, dress up as your favourite star or character and join in the fun.
