Police search for robbery suspect

York Regional Police are searching for a lone female suspect following a robbery at a King City bank Monday afternoon.
Police report that the robbery occurred in the area of King Road and Keele (police said they prefer not to name the actual bank involved) at 1:05 p.m. A lone female suspect in the bank indicated she had a firearm and demanded cash. Police said no weapon was actually seen, however.
She fled the scene on foot with a quantity of cash.
Officers responded, along with a canine unit, who searched the area for some time.
At press time, police did not release a description of the suspect or any further details.
