Murder suspect arrested

York Regional Police have made an arrest in the shooting death of a Nobleton man.
Homicide investigators are continuing to ask for witnesses to come forward following a shooting in the City of Vaughan that left a King man dead and another with serious injuries.
Police report that on Sunday, June 8 at 7 p.m., David Odesho, 24, of Toronto, turned himself in to #4 District station. He was arrested without incident.
He remains in custody and is charged with 1st degree murder of Nobleton’s Sarhad Sadiq, 36. He’s also charged with attempted murder.
On Friday, June 6 at 6:43 p.m., York Regional Police responded to a 9-1-1 call regarding shots fired at a café on Woodstream Boulevard in the area of Highway 7 and Martin Grove Road. Officers found two adult men suffering from gunshot wounds. Sadiq died at the scene and the other was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The identity of the surviving victim is not being released.
There are no other suspects at this time. However, investigators are still looking for a white 2011 Mazda 3 four-door vehicle with Ontario licence plate BRFS 163 that was observed leaving the scene of the shooting.
Members of the York Regional Police Homicide Unit are investigating this shooting and appealing to witnesses or anyone with information to come forward. The crime scene is located in an industrial area in which businesses were open and where many people would have been at the time of the shooting.
