Shovels hit the ground for the new Holland Marsh Christian School

The Holland Marsh District Christian School welcomed community members and local politicians for an official ground breaking at the site of the new elementary school at Bathurst and Graham Street on Saturday afternoon.
The new facility will be 30,000 square feet on a new building space of 15 acres and will include a number of state-of-the art designs and facilities, including 11 full-sized classrooms; focused learning environments for music, visual arts, technology and science; a library; a full-sized gymnasium, servery, music/meeting room; and sports facilities including a soccer field and baseball diamond.
In 2009, the Holland Marsh District Christian School Board of Directors launched a $4 million capital fundraising campaign to help the project. Shortly thereafter, the building committee began its mandate with a goal of completion by the spring of 2015.
