Aug Grading -Sr class
Nobleton Karate held two mini summer gradings Thursday, Aug. 8.
A group of very dedicated students trained very hard in the summer heat to advance to the next rank.
Sensei Giancarlo Esposito honoured the following students with special awards:
Mario Barbieri and Kayla Piccirillo won Most Improved Awards in the Senior and Junior classes respectively.
Alejandro Huard-Tordecillas won the Leadership Award.
“I am so proud of Alejandro,” Sensei Giancarlo said. “I recall his first tournament this past December. A shy, nervous boy reluctant to perform in front of judges and people, he needed to go deep inside to pull out every ounce of courage to do his kata. That was the turning point for him – he faced and conquered his fear and has progressed rapidly since then. With excellent form, focus and behaviour he sets an example for the rest of the students and is always encouraging of the other children.”
The teachers at Nobleton Karate take character development very seriously and will be implementing a very rigorous program in the fall designed to extend into the home and school.
Congratulations to all the students that progressed to the next rank.
The following are the successful graduates.
Yellow Jr. Stripe – Zion Lee.
