Editor honoured by Food Bank

Mark Pavilons, editor of the King Weekly Sentinel, received an award for supporting the King Township Food Bank recently.
Carol Ann Trebert presented the honour at King council, recognizing Pavilons for his “outstanding efforts” in promoting the Food Bank, leading to increased awareness and support.
“I’m truly humbled by this recognition,” Pavilons said. “It’s great that the King Township Food Bank has received the attention and support it deserves. Quite frankly, I believe that no one in this great municipality should have to go without.”
Pavilons said he tries to support every charity, community group and service club in King and the wonderful work they do.
“It’s easy to help support such causes, particularly the Food Bank, when the volunteers – the real heroes – are so passionate and dedicated to their cause,” he said.
Mayor Steve Pellegrini also praised Pavilons and the newspaper for the excellent coverage they provide.
