An open letter to MPP Stephen Lecce

January 2, 2019   ·   0 Comments

The following letter, to King-Vaughan MPP Stephen Lecce, was submitted to the Sentinel.

I have read with regret all the changes implemented by the Conservative government in Ontario recently. Changes such as the reduction of a small increase in social assistance payments, ending an increase in the minimum wage, stopping the cap and trade program without an adequate replacement of a strong environmental plan and even killing the poor cormorants.
These are all bad enough, but getting rid of the Clean Water Act and the proposed development of the Oak Ridges Moraine is just too much for many of us and we will object strongly. Where do you stand MPP Lecce because we want to know? Are you going to cuddle behind Premier Ford or are you going to represent your constituents?
I am really hoping for another brave Amanda Simard. Do I expect too much? In any case let us hear what you are thinking please.
